Although Joshua Taipei Hernia Center website refers to having “experts,” there is only one surgeon. That surgeon is more of a quack than an expert as he has an imaginary hernia center and performs unnecessarily risky surgeries based on the well-established Shouldice technique that he ripped off and renamed as his Integrated Hernioplasty, on which he has a fake trademark. That surgeon and fraud is Lin Dinqqi or as he calls himself, “Alpha”, and he is veritably the Paolo Macchiarini of hernia repair.

I want to provide additional information to further develop a profile for Alpha Lin. 

Google Reviews – First of all, Alpha Lin can neither get the name of his fake trademarked hernia repair nor his fake hernia center right. On Google Reviews, he refers to his fake center as “Taipei Hernia Surgery and Varicocele Center-Joshua.” Everywhere else it is Joshua Taipei Hernia Center.

Anyways, the Google Reviews for Joshua Taipei Hernia Center are great. How is this possible? Herein lies the reason why I am bedridden and why I decided to research Alpha Lin and create this website.

Apparently, someone (most likely Alpha Lin) has figured out how to report negative reviews damaging to Joshua Taipei Hernia Center to Google to have the reviews removed. I posted a damaging review with my personal Google account about Joshua Taipei Hernia Center on Google Reviews. A few days later, the review was not there when I checked the review with my business Google account. However, I could still see the review when logged in with my personal Google account. So, most people who write negative reviews will not know their reviews have been reported by someone and removed by Google. This would allow someone to silence injured, incapacitated patients suffering in pain and allow Alpha Lin to save face, preserve his evidently massive ego, and continue to harm more people.

I sent Alpha a message notifying him that I know he reported my review to Google for removal. Alpha Lin did not deny reporting my review to Google. Instead, he said the following… “Hi Ben, we understand how frustrating this must be, and we genuinely care about your well-being. Instead of channeling your frustration online, we think it might be more helpful to focus on your health and recovery.” I reposted my review with my business Google account and told Alpha Lin I would create a website about Joshua Taipei Hernia Center if my reposted review was removed. Weeks later at the time of writing this, the review is still up. However, the reviews was locked for about 4 or 5 days not long after it was posted. This most likely happened because the review was flagged by someone. Thus, I decided the only way I could ensure people receive accurate information about Joshua Taipei Hernia Center, the Integrated Hernioplasty, and Alpha Lin was to create a website exposing him for the fraud he is. And so I did.

Who knows what stratagems someone is using to get Google to remove these reviews that harm Alpha Lin’s business interests? Interestingly enough, my personal Google account is blocked from writing any reviews in Taiwan, but I am able to write reviews in other countries. This clearly indicates that the standards for Google Reviews are not universal and that Taiwan has very protectionist laws against reviews that cause loss of face and that Taiwan can control who can post reviews and what reviews they can post about businesses in their country. This is probably a factor as to how someone has been able to remove all reviews he does not like and continue to harm people largely unchecked. Who could that “someone” be?

Over eight years, Joshua Taipei Hernia Center accumulated a total of 60 reviews. That is less than 8 reviews per year. However, in the 24 hours after I initially posted my negative review, three new reviews were posted and one review was deleted and reposted. This was either a one-in-a-million coincidence or somebody thought reviews were listed on Google by newness and hoped to bury my truthful review by posting fake new reviews. Unfortunate for Alpha Lin, Google displays reviews based on relevance and those phony new reviews were pushed lower by Google’s algorithm. A week after his 4 posts were given a lower ranking in Google Reviews and after Google did not remove my review posted from my Google business account, someone named, “molecule”, posted an unnecessarily long review about Joshua Taipei Hernia Center which obviously tried to counter things I posted in my review and to give it a higher Relevance ranking than mine.

And it was also only after Google refused to remove my review that Joshua Taipei Hernia Center posted its very concerned response about my well-being. What disingenuousness. The lengths someone will go to to try to hide the ugly truth.

 

Additional information about Alpha Lin – Any one of the following points in isolation may not be indicative of anything, but together, combined with everything previously mentioned on this website, they show what kind of person Alpha Lin really is.

• Alpha Lin tries to hide inconvenient truths about him in other ways than only on Google Reviews. One month after surgery when I realized I was not going to recover, I met with other surgeons who requested certain information about Alpha Lin’s surgery. So, I sent him a long email detailing all my symptoms and requesting the operative report and answers to a handful of questions about my operation. He responded by saying that I had to talk to him before he would provide me with the requested information. On our Google Meet call, he started the call by calling me “brother” about ten times and he awkwardly insisted multiple times that I turn on my video camera. I declined. On the call, he was begging me to come back to Taiwan for treatment. It was incredibly strange and because of this, I felt I needed the information even more and that he was reluctant to give me the information for some unknown reason. After receiving the operative report and other information, I learned a lot of things inconvenient to Alpha Lin, including 1) the hernia size vs incision size, 2) how he didn’t use a relaxing incision for repairs that require it, and 3) that Alpha is essentially calling the Shouldice repair his own and giving it another name. Now, I understand why he insisted so bizarrely that I come back to Taiwan for treatment, because he was obviously hoping to avoid having to reveal this condemning information.
• Alpha has never said what he thought was wrong or what went wrong with his surgery in his response or at any time since the surgery. Strange. Could a truly experienced surgeon have no idea what went wrong or that he knows or has a good idea of what went wrong and pretended to be shocked by my symptoms. Also, Alpha Lin has never said anything that would indicate any personal responsibility on his part for my problems or anything that would make him lose face. His responses to many of the questions were general in nature and lacked any real detail that would help a surgeon to more successfully do revision surgery. When I asked how he would suggest undoing his surgery, he refused to tell me and instead recommended that I should remove one suture that could be causing nerve irritation and feelings of tension, because removing this suture worked for a Japanese patient about nine years ago. First of all, I told him in a lot of detail and in no uncertain terms about the extreme tension I had been suffering and that part of my lower abdomen had been completely flattened and was very rigid to the touch and his suggestion was to create an incision in my abdomen to remove a suture. I was absolutely enraged. Alpha Lin will withhold information or real suggestions from suffering patients to save face and preserve his own ego. Also, in an email lacking in detail, why would he write that this procedure worked for a Japanese patient 9 years ago? Alpha Lin most likely included this irrelevant information to make me subconsciously believe his patients almost never have complications. Why would he be so sure this would work if it only happened once 9 years ago? Why would this even come to his mind if it happened once 9 years ago? Frauds are masters of deception. I wonder how many times he has used such deception with his patients.
• One week after surgery, I complained to Alpha Lin of many pain symptoms. And he found out I had at least one badly inflamed nerve. He gave me a couple injections to dull the pain without using any precision tools or techniques to ensure the correct nerve was injected. Afterwards, he made sure to tell me that he himself would pay for the injections and that I didn’t need to pay, in an obvious attempt to garner favor by trying to make himself look generous and magnanimous. At the time it seemed like a nice gesture, but knowing what I know now, it is off putting.
• Also, when I complained of these symptoms to Alpha Lin one week after surgery, Alpha Lin told me he never had any patients experience these problems. Alpha Lin claims to have done 30,000 hernia repairs and my uncomplicated hernia resulted in surgery that had symptoms that no patient had ever complained about before. The problem was a badly inflamed ilioinguinal nerve possibly muscle strain. What is the likelihood that this is true? Impossible considering he used Shouldice and McVay techniques with no relaxing incision.
• The day before I flew out of Taiwan, Alpha Lin messaged me and offered to have their driver pick me up and take me to the airport. Multiple times the driver was referred to as “our driver.” I asked the driver the next day how long he had been working for Joshua Taipei Hernia Center or Dr. Lin. He told me he did not know who either of them are and that he just works for a van-hire service. Alpha Lin again tried to make himself and his fake center seem more legitimate than they really are.
• What kind of person gives themselves the name Alpha anyway? In modern culture, Alpha males are known as the highest, most dominant male archetype and also the name Alpha is used as a reference to god, the Alpha and Omega. Alpha Lin is apparently a Christian by naming his fake center after Joshua from the Bible. I get the sense that despite Alpha’s God Complex, Jesus probably wouldn’t want Alpha Lin for a sunbeam.

Finally, this is my personal message for Alpha Lin.

You and all of the many experts at Judas Taipei Hernia Center do not genuinely care about your patients. Because if you did, you would stop ruining people’s health by changing your profession or your practices. You care about protecting your own ego, making money, and trying to become something special. I can only imagine how much time and money you spent developing your special, little tool and applying for your rejected trademark. You have probably had delusions of grandeur about becoming renowned for your amazing minimally invasive rip-off version of the Shouldice technique, but in the end you are nothing but a fraud, who lies, deceives, breaks laws, and knowingly harms patients due to your massive ego and ineptitude. But your ego simply will not allow you to stop. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, a road you are apparently quite familiar with. Alpha Lin, you are not a doctor, at best, you are a medical businessman and, at worst, an unskilled egomaniacal fraud, con man, and psychopath. You are the Elizabeth Holmes of surgery. The only difference is that Holmes lost rich people money, whereas you physically harm ordinary people. How many times and in how many ways have you violated the Hippocratic Oath?
